We have been Christmas decorating for several days now and we are ready for the Christmas season.

First snow in Enontekiö
We had the first snow quite late this year, on Friday 7.10. On Saturday and Sunday it was so nice to enjoy in the nature - the fjell of Ounastunturi was covered on white snow, the lake of Ounasjärvi was shimmering and the sun was shining on a blue sky. The sound of snow when you are walking is very relaxing. It is a bit sad that people do not travel to Lapland when it is so beautiful here. And peaceful. Not it is snowing more. Let's hope this snow will stay so we can have winter-fun soon.

I am sure we will have fun and relaxing time but I am also sure we will miss home at some point...

Sun shine for almost two months
The sun rose today around 2 a.m. and it will set next time in two months 20.7. Midnight sun is definitely worth seeing!
The snow has already melt. The lake is not on ice anymore. The sun is shining. It is +20 C'. Today I saw the first (and hopefully the last) mosquito. The first summer clients from all over Europe are passing by to Norway and North Cape. Summer is here! :)

I do not like good-byes
We had a wonderful time for a week with some Dutch people. Unfortunately after a nice time everyone has to leave. I hate to say good-bye because I get attached to our guests so easily. And this happens many times because we have so many nice guests.
But, before you can meet again you first have to say good-bye... I am hoping to see you again here our nice Dutch guests... <3

Snow and sun
It's a perfect weather today! But soon the sun is going to disappear for a while, for the period of 'kaamos'...
But that is ok because 'kaamos' is such a beautiful and exotic time of the year.

What a nice summer!
Lots of guests, lots of sun (but not too much like in southern Finland) and lots of words 'kiitos = thank you'.
What a nice summer! We are already waiting for the period of autumn colours, Christmas and spring...

No place like home
On May  my long-time dream came true and I was on a road trip in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Paris, Danmark 
and Sweden. During over 7000 kms we saw lots of beautiful places and many many sights, experienced many new things, 
slept nights in cosy and comfortable B&Bs and hotels, met many lovely friends, were taking cared of with such a great hospitality, Gastfraundlichkeit, and we got lots of unforgettable memories. We had a great holiday! Still one of the best parts of our holiday 
was returning back home. We have such a great country and such a beautiful village and really nice home, Majatalo. 
I got many many new ideas and thoughts how to make our products and service even more better and got reminded how important 
the first impression and small details are. After our holiday I can honestly say that compared to other places we have very good quality and nice prices here. I had relaxing and inspiring holiday and now we are very ready to serve our guests in the summer season.
I wish you sunny and memorable holidays for this summer!

Still snow
Like every year we still have snow and ice and it is possible to go cross-country skiing etc.. This is the RealLapland!

Beautiful!
The sun is shining and we still have snow, ice and cold. Next week there will be 
15 ice-fishing competitions during the week. We definitely have winter still.

Lots of sun shine and lots of pancakes
Sun has been shining every day for several weeks now. 
We have made lots of pancakes on our tradition parties in the wilderness cabin. 
Our guests has skied so many kilometers.
We love the spring! Everyone in the world should experience this.

Amazing activities and holidays
Huskies, reindeers, snow mobiles, snow shoes, skis, Snow Castle, breathtaking landscapes etc. are all at your service in Enontekiö. 
Our guests have had many unforgettable memories on their holidays this winter. 
Let's hope next winter there will be some new people from the south to experience our winter and service.

Majatalo almost full of British families
Today we had the first charter for this winter from the UK. 
For over a month we will have Christmas songs playing all the time, plenty of snowmen, excited children, happy families...
