Hetan Majatalo began operating in the early 1920´s, at time when Lapland still survived on a completely indigenous economy.
Hetan Majatalo's clients at that time were mainly traders and naturalists.

Time passed and things changed, but Hetan Majatalo remained. And developed.
Through the time it has stayed under management of one family. Traditional services were handed on from father to son.
Nowadays the good service runs in the blood of the fourth generation.
